Gernot is a principal associate in the Global Transactions group and member of the technology, media and telecoms (TMT) team in our Vienna office. Gernot regularly advises multinational and domestic clients on national and international data privacy law, data-driven innovation and digital projects, IT-outsourcing strategies and projects, media and telecommunication law and projects involving legal tech.
Gernot completed his legal education at the University of Vienna and holds a PhD in outer space law. After completing his legal education and before joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he obtained academic degrees in computer science, namely “Software and Information Engineering” as well as “Computational Intelligence” from the Vienna University of Technology, thus giving him a broad understanding on the technical aspects arising in TMT matters.
Gernot is also a member of our worldwide TMT sector group.
